Fleet Admiral Dewey Forscythe
Age: 41
Gender: Male
Appearance: One of the first things noticed about Admiral Dewey is his long, billowing, almost fluffy golden hair. It gives him a pretty, fairy tale look, almost like a prince out of a picture book. He’s pale and thin, wearing plenty of clothes but not having much to hide with them. Dewey, much like many of the Admirals in the ESU, wears the large white and blue Admiral cloak. His is gilded silver, and often worn open and on his shoulders. Underneath he often wears a shirt, and the rest of his uniform is standard blue and white ESU Admiral uniform. Although usually at rest, Dewey carries with him a gnarled walking stick. He doesn’t have difficulties walking, but is blind- and uses the stick as a walking assistance.
Backstory: Dewey’s climb to the rank of one of the ESU’s top Admirals began at birth, but was cemented with his actions during the 6MW. The Forscythes are a historical military family, with many of their heads claiming high positions within the ESU Orbital Navy since the beginning of the Post Colony era. Dewey, following the path of his father, joined the ESU Orbital Navy in hopes of making a name for himself, as his ancestors did before him.
His timing led him to become a Marlin-class ship captain, a Commodore during the time of the 6MW. Although originally part of a separate fleet, the Rear Admiral’s sudden death during an engagement with MCC forces caused him to be quickly promoted. His position as a Rear Admiral remained unchallenged; now at the helm of an ESU fleet, he quickly turned a concerning position in MCC territory into a bastion for ESU forces, claiming victory after victory. Their final battle, the incident at Big O, was led in part by Dewey.
Though that battle remains controversial, it also marked his advancement to a Fleet Admiral. Dewey had, much like his family before him, claimed one of the highest positions within the ESU Orbital Navy. He remained in service for another ten years before calling an early retirement, citing a combination of weariness and health. Now, with Martians knocking on Earth’s door, he has decided to return to the forefront of the action. Granted his refurbished ship, the Caladbolg, and his old position of Fleet Admiral, the ESU now rests much of their hope on his renewed command.
